Evening Yerevan discovery:

The Armenian National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet. It is not only a cultural hub, but also an architectural masterpiece that you will admire.

Cafesjian Center for the Arts, The Cascade. We will have a wonderful view of evening Yerevan and discover art masterpieces.

Victory Park and Statue of Mother Armenia. Victory Park is one of the most beloved places of Yerevan residents and tourists. It's one of the best historical places in the city which also attracts nature lovers. You will have the greatest view of evening Yerevan and Biblical mountain Ararat from here. This is an optional experience and may be provided with an additional fee

Swan Lake. A tiny amazing lake with wonderful surroundings.

Northern Avenue Pedestrian Street. The biggest recently constructed pedestrian street in Yerevan where you will see newly constructed buildings and lots of locals and tourists having their evening walk.

Republic Square. Here you will discover the amazing buildings from the 20th century as well as stunning Singing Fountains.

Yerevan 2800th Anniversary Park. You will discover the amazing new park which has wonderful fountains, trees, maps of Yerevan and Armenia, beautiful fountains, etc.

Abovyan street and Charles Aznavour Square. You will discover the oldest street of Yerevan with 19th-century buildings as well as the beautiful Square of Charles Aznavour.

Local delicious food and wine tasting in a cosy restaurant at the hearth of Yerevan.

Discover Tatev Monastery which is a 9th-century historical monument. It is one of the oldest and most famous monastery complexes in Armenia.

Admire Vorotan Gorge from the world's longest ropeway, Wings of Tatev (tickets are bought by travellers: roundtrip 7000 AMD).

Explore Karahunj (Zorats Karer), an Armenian prehistoric observatory 3500 years older than England’s Stonehenge and 3000 years older than the Egyptian pyramids (optional experience, may be provided with an additional fee).

Visit the historic cave village, Khndzoresk located on the steep slope of a gorge, comprised of both natural and manmade caves. Take the mysterious swinging bridge connecting Old Khndzoresk and New Khndzoresk for extreme feelings (optional experience, may be provided with an additional fee).

Visiting Ancient Birds-Cave (Areni-1) is more than an extraordinary experience. The oldest leather shoe in the world was also found here. It is more than 5500 years old. Also, in the same area, the world’s oldest women’s skirt (3900 BC) was found. The winery found here is considered to be the oldest one in the world and it is referred to 4th millennium BC.

The 19th-century Cathedral of the Holy Mother of God, also known as Yot Verk or the Seven Wounds of the Holy Mother of God, is the seat of the Diocese of Shirak of the Armenian Apostolic Church.

St. All Savior’s Church is constructed between 1858 and 1873, it was designed to resemble the Cathedral of Ani, since the inhabitants of 19th century Gyumri saw their city as the historical successor to their glorious medieval capital Ani.

The large exposition of the National Architecture and Urban Life Museum is in the "Dzitoghtsyans's house", which was built in 1872. The furniture hasn't been changed from the days when Dzitoghtsyans lived there. In the museum, you will see the past and the present of the aspiring people and the city of Gyumri.

Walk in the impressive Kumayri historic district, which is the oldest part of Gyumri, boasting some unique architecture that dates back to the 18th and 19th centuries. It is one of the only places in the country to see authentic urban Armenian architecture. The district is home to over 1,000 buildings, telling the story of the city’s past.

Officially known as Sev Berd, the Black Fortress is a massive abandoned Russian Imperial fortress that sits on the western edge of the city. The fortress was built between 1834 and 1847 after the Russo-Turkish War. The big round fortress is a national cultural heritage monument. It sits atop a hill overlooking the city, offering some great views (optional experience, may be provided with an additional fee).

The Gyumri open-air market is where the locals shops for fresh produce, spices and dried fruit. It is an interesting place to explore and is sure to appeal to all of your senses.

The pedestrian-only Ryzhkov Street is not only interesting to see but is also a great place to shop for souvenirs. Local artists sell paintings, wood carvings, tufa stone carvings and much more along this alleyway.


The Gyumri Brewery which is one of the oldest beer production factories in the country will be another amazing discovery. The brewery dates back to 1898. You will visit the brewery and may taste the beer in different stages of its production (optional experience, may be provided with an additional fee).

Gyumri is famous for traditional dishes like pilaf, soups, meat dishes and desserts. Khash is a must, which is a soup with cow’s feet and stomach that is flavoured with garlic, pickled vegetables and vodka. If that does not sound appealing, opt for Tatar Boraki, which is homemade pasta topped with fried onions. Those delicious dishes can be tasted in restaurant to complete your unforgettable experience.
