Itinerary
Approximate duration: 6-7 hours
Oshakan church is well known to historians and pilgrims as the site of the grave of Mesrop Mashtots, the inventor of the Armenian alphabet.
You will explore the Armenian alphabet invented by Mesrop Mashtotc at the Armenian Alphabet Monument site.
The other beautiful discovery will be the Amberd, a 10th-century fortress on the slopes of Mount Aragats. Near the fortress, you will see Vahramashen Church (the 11th century).
You can also visit Karmravor - also known as the Church of Holy Mother of God dating back to the 7th century. This is an optional experience and may be provided with an additional fee.
The other optional experience provided with an additional fee is the discovery of Lake Kari on the top of Mount Aragats (3200 meters) and the Armenian traditional dish, Khash tasting.
